Breast Augmentation San Diego: One Woman’s Quest For Confidence-Boosting Breasts
I’m a mother of two beautiful children in San Diego. I never had attention-grabbing breasts, but I was happy with them before I had my children. One day, I looked in the mirror and realized that the size and shape of my breasts are taking away from my self confidence.
I thought I would start a blog to chronicle my journey. I’m calling it: Process of Elimination.
I started to do some research on the Internet and found some interesting stats. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgery, in 2013, there were 290,224 breast augmentations performed in the United States. Here are some additional stats from 2012:
OK, so a lot of women are performing plastic surgery these days. The next question: How does one go about selecting a surgeon?
Here is what I can offer you in my quest to find the right San Diego plastic surgeon to perform my breast augmentation.
I researched on websites such as Real Self and Yelp. These sites are wonderful tools for hearing the digital grapevine’s version of formidable reputations. I submitted pictures of my boobs online to a number of doctors. It feels weird, but I wanted to hear what they had to say!
What I can tell you is something you must already know: Nothing trumps the relationship between a patient and physician. It is a little uncomfortable allowing a doctor to see your figure and imagine with you the shape and feel of your implants.
After researching and talking to many offices, I felt most comfortable with one plastic surgeon: Dr. Munish Batra of Coastal Plastic Surgeons.
I originally found him by doing the following search on Google and coming across his before and after photos:
I found a woman such as myself (34-year-old, Hispanic, who wanted more cleavage and more lift) and I was immediately drawn to the size and shape of her breasts. Her new breasts are exactly the way I want my breasts to look.
I wanted to be sure, so I checked out what others (including physicians) are saying about Dr. Batra:
I’m about to schedule a consultation with Dr. Batra and I’m excited to meet him.
Update: I’ve had my first consultation and I’m really encouraged about what I heard!
